ReplyDeleteMy D bought the book for me a couple weeks ago or so. Said it was getting a lot of attention, women like it, hoped I hadn't read it, and he'd get me the rest in the series if I like this one. I never mentioned it, and I'm not even sure he knows what it's about! He's a sweetheart. I need to get busy and read past the first few pages!

I'll be interested in what you think. Think I'm in the minority as it wasn't one of my favorites. Part of it was the horrible writing but I also didn't think the storyline was that great.
DeleteDid you read Stormy's postmortem on it? I am guessing that will be my assessment, or close to it. I'd already read reviews by other ttwd bloggers. It only took reading a couple blogs that said it was poorly written (and some "spoiler" things I won't mention) for me to decide I wasn't going to bother. Famous last words! In all fairness, several other bloggers liked the heat, so they overlooked the failings. I'll get it read and weigh in.
