Scottish artist Rob Mulholland created 6 glass men and women and placed them in a forest, to "reflect the past inhabitants of the space."

There was just something so hauntingly beautiful in this pic, I just had to share it!
Welcome to my little corner of the world where you never know what you will find! It could be anything from a joke to a funny picture to a personal rant to a favorite recipe to an awesome quote to any random "bright idea" that pops into my mind.

Hi Cat : This is amazing. Wow.
ReplyDeleteIt does create the feeling of another dimension in that verdant space. Like imprints on the countryside of the people that inhabited those magical spaces.
Thanks for sharing.
:D

Lillie - you have such a way with words - that was an awesome way of describing the pic!

"Hauntingly beautiful" is spot on.
ReplyDeleteIn a way it is a reminder that we are merely passing through this place.
Sidenote, how beautiful is the female form? No wonder She is Mother Earth. Her curves flow in with nature.
I love how this pic speaks to each person a just a bit different way. You are right, the female curves do flow with nature!

I love the ethereal, mystical quality of this photo, but imagine seeing this in person. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy mind just took a leap. I love good sci-fi as much as I enjoy whimsy and artistic fantasy, and now this reminds me of the movie "Predator." Lol! That visual hasn't detracted at all from my original impression of magical beings in the forest.
Thanks, Cat. You find and post some amazing things. I really appreciate that about you.
Irishey
I would love to see this in person Irishey!
Delete"Predator" never even entered my mind but I can see why you took that leap. :)
Thanks for the sweet words.

Beautiful pic. I am reading the Outlander series right now. It deals with time travel and ancestors and their connection to the land and this reminded me of that. How interesting to think of who came before and the spirit if a place. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that you see something different based on a book you're reading Zoe. :)I've gone to several places where I would swear I could feel its spirit.
