Banana Cookies

Hey Minelle...here's your banana cookie recipes.  Oh and Blondie...if Ty likes banana's and Dana these are gluten free...as long as you use gluten free oats.

Ingredients

  • 2 good sized bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or dried fruit or peanut butter chips or toasted coconut or chopped nuts…basically whatever you want to add.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mash bananas in a bowl.
  3. Add oats and whatever extra you’re adding.
  4. Stir until well combined.
  5. Spoon dough onto cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes.

Notes

  • If you don’t have parchment paper, you can always grease the cookie sheet with a bit of coconut oil.
  • I love these with walnuts and dark chocolate chips added.

Sinless Cookies

Notes

  • A friend recently sent me this recipe.  I haven’t tried it yet but it looks very similar to my banana cookie recipe.

Banana Applesauce Oat Cookies

Notes:

  • I add walnuts rather than raisins to these but just like the first recipe, you can add whatever you like.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.   As always, if you try any of these recipes, I would love any feedback you care to give.

  1. I've made the banana applesauce recipe and my kids and I enjoy them as a little "healthy" treat...though we tend to put chocolate chips in them (because the kids like chocolate chips in everything) :-) I have since found a recipe using bananas, oats, dates, and almonds that I like even better in texture - more cookie like. I am always looking for more healthy ideas as fun and tasty snacks...I will definitely try the other banana recipes you shared - thanks so much! :-) Hugs

    1. Hey Han...look at the first recipe...it's simply bananas and oats...you can add whatever you want or nothing else. Run your Pro Points with chopped walnuts and leave the peanut butter and dark chocolate chips out. Let me know if you try them. ;)

    3. If the fact that they all gone is a measurement if they were tasty, they were yum. Grind some mixed nuts into it (was somewhere behind in the closet). Anyway, my wife and daughter both said chocolate next time.

    4. Thanks for the feedback Han! So happy y'all enjoyed them. They are good with dark chocolate chips but I am a big walnut fan so am very happy to just add walnuts. BTW...I just chop my nuts a bit, I don't grind them...I enjoy the crunch. ;)

  6. I've got a bunch of bananas in the freezer that needed to be used. I hear it helps to bring them inside after grocery shopping instead of leaving them in the sweltering garage until the next morning. I use them for banana bread and muffins, but neither are very good for you so don't make an appearance too often. These look promising for lunch box cookies!

    1. LOL Chickie...leaving the bananas in a sweltering garage is really not suggested. ;) These would make healthy lunch box cookies...no added sugar. If you make any, let me know which recipe you made and if you liked them.

  8. Oh YUMMY Cat T! :) I am going to try the first one. I'm thinking of adding just craisins. Oh gosh- that does sound really good. Thanks for the recipe. I'll let you know how it goes. :) Many hugs,

    1. Hey Katie T...These are good with raisins so even though, I'm not a big fan of craisins, I'm sure they would be good in the cookies. Looking forward to your feedback. ;)
