Canadian Supermarket

Sharing a goodie from  Meredith's Jack, to kick off our week with a smaile. Smile

Sobeys, Gimli, Manitoba, Supermarket
It has an automatic a water mister to keep the produce fresh.

Canadian Supermarket p1
Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain.

Canadian Supermarket p2
When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and there is the scent of freshly mowed hay.

Canadian Supermarket p3
In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks with onions.

Canadian Supermarket p4
When you approach the egg case, you hear hens clucking and cackling, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.

Canadian Supermarket p5
The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread and cookies.

I don't buy toilet paper there anymore. Smile with tongue out

  2. Cool! I visited Gimli when I was in Winnipeg for a week. It's only a half-hour drive north. It has the largest Icelandic population outside of Iceland.

I never visited Sobeys when I was there. Perhaps when I'm back there, I will check it out and see if the eggs cluck at me. =)

    1. That Jack is right, Cuz. ;) As long as they kept the smells to the food aisles to reflect cooking, it would be great. Can you imagine walking through the baking aisle and smelling cookies and cakes? Yum! :)
