Hellooooo…..

My Internet is back so I’m “HOME” and doing my Happy Dance!!!!!!

happy dancing with notes

My ex got in between snowstorms with his 4WD and got me to the store so I was well stocked, including batteries. *snicker* (oops, forgot batteries for the alarm backup)

I was afraid I would lose power and/or internet when the storm hit so I pre-scheduled posts for the week.  Good thing I did as Monday night, I lost TV and Internet, got the TV back Wednesday night but just got the Internet back today.  Lost power for a few hours Tuesday and it flickered every so often but hasn’t since last night so think I’m in good shape, for now.  Due for more snow here Monday! Grrrrr  (Will have more posts pre-scheduled…just in case.)  My ex got in the morning to get me re-stocked as I still can’t get my car out! (Yes, I remembered batteries for the alarm clocks and a few other items. Winking smile )

Didn’t even try to read blogs since blogger doesn't like my phone and it's impossible to comment.   I was only checking email once a day since I had to do it by phone and was afraid of draining the battery.  Didn’t want to have a dead phone if the power went!  As the week went on, I really began to suffer withdrawal symptoms...missing my friends and blogging so started checking email twice a day. Open-mouthed smile

Thanks to all of you who checked on me.  You really touched my heart.  I know I owe quite a few people emails and promise to get them answered as soon as I can.  Answering from my phone is a pain and also drains the battery.

Just scanning through my reading list and dang, so much has gone on in blog land while I’ve been gone.

Birthday’s for Dragon and Ana…Happy Birthday to both of you.

Women sending pictures to Bas…sorry Bas, none from me…camera’s break when they are pointed at me!  Oh my, you do sound handsome!

Cover reveals…woohoo…congrats!

New stories…from Ana on FF and Cassie…will definitely have to read those!

Blogiversaries  and DDversaries…congrats!

Rogue’s son is now a Marine…welcome to the Marine Mom’s club Rogue and congrats to your very special son.

And then we have haircuts, communication, respect, new blog names, dryers on the fritz, taxes, yawning during spanking (Really?), DD comparisons, vacations, chocolate, maintenance, RA, reconnection, small but powerful gestures, new bloggers, dictators, Clitoral Tugs (Definitely a must-read!), frills and lace, leniency, consistency, distancing (with pickles Winking smile ), drama, cliques, stress, PMS, dieting, effort and follow-through, definitions of an HoH, art, recipes, etc.

Sheesh, got tired just reading the opening blurbs about some of the one's I’ve missed and haven’t even gotten through all of them!  Will read as I get a chance and ya might get a ‘late to the party’ comment but then again, ya might not. *teehee*

Thought I would share a few pictures…

Hopefully, I’m back but am prepared if I go down again and you will still have daily posts here.  I promise to get through all the unanswered comments on my blog as soon as I can but please be patient. Smile

  1. Welcome back Cat. Looks like you have a fair bit of snow there :P I'm impressed that you've been able to go through the topics of all the blogs for the week. I've read them all but when you actually write the list of the topics it makes me feel like I've actually done a lot more reading than I thought I'd done.

    1. Thanks Callie...we did have just a bit of snow. ;) I just scrolled through my reading list...didn't even get everything. If you've read all of those posts, you have done quite a bit of reading. LOL

    1. Thanks Willie...oh, need me to 'smack' you huh? *teehee* Look at the first picture on the left...the trees behind the barrel (black dot) are the creek line and the field behind those is one of my fields for camping. BTW...spare room is full of boxes so guess where you'll be camping. ROFL

    3. ROFL! Sorry Willie...we can shift boxes and you can put your sleeping bag in the floor of the spare room or you can have the couch. There's also plenty of space in my living room for everyone to roll their bags out on the floor. One big slumber party! LOL

    1. Thanks Sunny...it is a fair bit of snow. Never have understood why I've never moved to a snow-free zone. :( Definitely hoping for spring thaw soon!

  5. Boy you must have read fast once you got it back on! That would be very, very hard on me. I could make it with out the bread and milk - or even the chips and soft drinks - but no internet! That's barbaric! I hope it stays on and that spring comes SOON!

    1. Hey PK...just scrolled through my reading list and pulled the topics...haven't even read all those posts yet and probably won't. ;) It is very barbaric to be without internet...cruel and unusual punishment! Keeping fingers, toes and eyes crossed for the spring thaw!

  6. I'd miss the internet too if I couldn't get on. I'm loving the DD blogs. They are helping so much to encourage us. Hope you get to stay by a warm fire.

    1. Hey Bea...I just miss being able to communicate with everyone. Nope, no fire...haven't cleaned the chimney. With my luck, if I started a fire, I'd burn the whole darn house down!

    1. Definitely cold and snowed in Lillie! Depending on which forecaster you listen to, we are either going to get all rain...in which case I will be 'mudded' in, rain, ice, snow...in which case, I will be 'iced' in or more snow...in which case, I will remain 'snowed' in. Any way you look at it, I will be 'something-ed' in for quite a while. LOL As long as I don't lose internet again and my ex can get me out with 4WD when I need to re-stock, I'm happy.

No internet is so rough...I just felt so cut off! I can read fast but didn't read through all those posts...just skimmed and I am totally lost. Will probably just move forward and go back when there is a reference. ;)

  12. Hi Cat.oh my goodness that is so much snow, in England this would never happen, we get one day and the country comes to a standstill. I hope spring comes soon for you, until then stay warm and cosy, love Janxxx

    1. Hey Jan...This is not nearly as much snow as some parts of the US get so guess I really can't complain...except for no internet...grrrr. ;) When the southern states get a bit of snow, they come to a standstill also. Really hoping for spring to come soon and yes, I am staying warm and cosy.

      Hugs and Blessings,
      Cat

  13. Welcome back Cat! You certainly got dumped on. Glad we had that talk as I was worried enough as it was! Minelle and I discussed a rescue mission at one point! Missed your imput no end! Shall I volunteer my son as a tree surgeon?! And can he bring his crew?!

I hope you don't get much more, or you will be digging snow tunnels. I share Jan's view of snow in England! If we had what you have, we would be calling out the troops!

    Many hugs,

    Ami

    1. Thanks Ami...not sure you and Minelle could have gotten in with a rescue mission...closed the airport here for a day and a half. I'm sure your son and his crew would do a lovely job of cleaning up all my broken trees but dang...long way to come to do so. LOL

Some people did dig snow tunnels and if we get much more, I may have to. So happy you don't get this kind of snow...wish I didn't. ;)

      Hugs and Blessings,
      Cat

    1. Thanks Susie...not even trying to operate a shovel. My neighbor sorta plowed my drive after the first snow and my ex has been able to get in by 4WD...I go in and out through the garage so don't worry about the sidewalk and front door. ;)
