  1. I like all of these, except for the first. I disagree that being strong means you never depend on anyone. It takes a strong, wise woman to know who to depend on and to accept that help.

    1. Happy you like them, Abby. I should have changed that first one or at least added an explanation of why I posted it. Fondles gave a lovely interpretation...I think every strong woman has gone through some time thinking she had to depend on only herself to get to where she realized there are some she can lean against(Thanks, Sunny).

  3. i agree altho it sometimes seems like to be able to lean on someone one must first have gone thru that period of thinking one cant depend on anyone! and then learn bit by bit that asking for help does not weaken you... i had to learn that the hard way myself.

  4. It's nice to have someone to lean against rather than depend on, don't you think?

  5. This is an interesting one, Cuz! :) You have made me stop and think hard. What does it mean to be strong? I think that it is a whole lot of things. Is it getting back up, after going through one tough thing after another? Is it failing to succumb to peer pressure? Is it battling a horrible illness and trying to stay positive? Is it... I could go on and on. So maybe, to me, it feels like it can be so many things.

With that, I feel as though we are all strong. We simply need to believe it. That is not always easy! That is why it is so wonderful to have someone to lean on, to help us to find our strength during tough times.

I too love what Sunny has said there. It all reminds me of that song, "Lean on Me"

"Lean on me when you're not strong
I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long 'til I'm gonna need
    Somebody to lean on."

I think that we lovingly do a lot of this for each other here, as we give and take support, and share. It is pretty special. Many hugs,

    1. So very much love your answer, Cuz and yes...to all the examples in the first paragraph. There are times we all need someone to lean on and then we return the favor. Such a lovely group of strong women out here in blogland.
