Welcome to my little corner of the world where you never know what you will find! It could be anything from a joke to a funny picture to a personal rant to a favorite recipe to an awesome quote to any random "bright idea" that pops into my mind.

Visit to State Fair
My wife and I went to the state fair and one of the first exhibits we stopped at was the breeding bulls. We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said,
THIS BULL MATED 50 TIMES LAST YEAR
My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs .....Smiled and said, 'He mated 50 times last year.'
We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said,
THIS BULL MATED 150 TIMES LAST YEAR
My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, 'WOW~~That's more than twice a week! You could learn a lot from him.'
We walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters,
THIS BULL MATED 365 TIMES LAST YEAR
My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, and said, 'That's once a day ..You could REALLY learn something from this one.'
I looked at her and said, 'Go over and ask him if it was with the same old cow.'

Will Never Forget
I Will Always Remember
I share the following every year as a reminder…we must never forget! Never fails to brings tears to my eyes every time I read it.This year, as in last two, it is even more heartbreaking for me as I was on the phone with my brother and we were both watching when the plane went into the second tower…I will never forget that moment.
You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news on September 11, 2001.
Neither will I.
I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say "Good-bye." I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, "Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK...I am ready to go."
I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.
I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out to Me for help. "I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!" I said. "Of course I will show you the way home -- only believe on Me now."
I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered.
I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.
I was in Texas, Kansas, London. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me?
I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name -- though not all know Me.
Some met Me for the first time on the 86th floor.
Some sought Me with their last breath.
Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; “Come to Me... This way... take My hand."
Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.
I did not place you in the Tower that day. You may not know why, but I do.
However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me?
September 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end and I will be there for you as well.
Seek Me now while I may be found.
Then, at any moment, you know you are "ready to go."
I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.
God
During the next 60 seconds, please stop whatever you are doing, and take this opportunity (really, just 1 minute) to say an "Our Father" for the families of all those who lost their lives and the responders who risked their lives due to the events of September 11, 2001:
Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name,
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day
Our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
Please don't forget to give thanks for your family and friends!

911 Chilling Facts
On this day... 18 years ago 246 people with bags packed, went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work tomorrow morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.
Never forget.

Travel Plans
I didn't get old on purpose, it just happened. If you're
lucky, it could happen to you! I have been in many places, but I've never been
in Kahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Kahoots with
someone.
I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes
you there. I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have
to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my children,
friends, family and work.
I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and
I'm not too much on physical activity anymore. I have also been in Doubt. That
is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often. I've been in
Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.
Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm
getting older. One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets
the adrenaline flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the
stimuli I can get!
I may have been in Continent, but I don't remember what
country I was in. It's an age thing. They tell me it is very wet and damp
there.
PLEASE DO YOUR PART! You can do your bit by remembering to
send this e-mail to at least one person. My job is done! Life is too short for
negative drama and petty things. So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive
quickly!
From one unstable person to another. I hope everyone is
happy in your head - we're all doing pretty well in mine!
