How long have you been doing ttwd? And could you imagine life without it?
 
Hmmm…Altogether, it’s been almost 22 years. My ex and I were together for a bit over 18 years and Matthew and I were together for a bit over 3 years.
 
As I told Roz in my answer to her questions…From all my relationship experiences, I’ve learned that I would just would not be happy or truly fullfilled in a vanilla relationship. 

So my answer, not only could I not imagine life without it, there is no way I will enter into a serious relationship unless it incorporates TTWD.

I have a few questions, now that I think about it. Matthew came from a traditional marriage background where others within the family participated in the same lifestyle. How was that different for you knowing others within the family were spanked too? Did it help you to bond easily to his family or was it harder?

 
DD  was something that just was part of my marriage…never really discussed…just was.  This was before the internet was readily available and I had no clue as to what DD was.


It was actually really nice for me to meet Matthew’’s family and realize that had the same type of relationships as I was used to.  I still had no clue as to what DD was and Matthew just referred to it as ‘Traditional Marriage’ when explaining what he expected.


It was never really discussed  with any of the wives but you could tell when someone came to visit, who had been spanked by how easily they sat. LOL  I’m sure there was discussion among some of them and probably would have been with me if I had been able to marry Matthew.


So when I walked in with a sore tush and sat down easily, there was never any comment or question so didn’t have to make any type of excuse. 

 

Yes...rolling my eyes was a barn burner offense when I couldn't convince Matthew I was not rolling my eyes but praying for patience.

Ronnie’s turn for Answers…

How do you prefer to be spanked?
Did you have a childhood ambition? Did you achieve it?

I always preferred the closeness of OTK but can’t have my head upside down due to inner ear and sinus issues.  So ex started holding me over his lap with my upper body laying across the bed which still allowed me the closeness of being held.

When I told Matthew I couldn’t be upside down, he preferred to lean back against the headboard and have me lay across his lap…he did like his comfort. Actually allowed me the closesness.

Either way, I was able to hang onto a pillow, which when the children were home was many times necessary to muffle the sound.

Don’t know if you would call it an ambition, but I did have a dream of being an artist…wanted to go to art school but parents didn’t believe that was a wise decision for a future.  For many reasons, I actually ended up putting my paints and brushes up for years.  Got back into it about 10 years ago but sure don’t make a living at it.

Thanks for your question,s, Jan..  Both my ex and Matthew painfully “introduced” ttwd in our relationships.  Not really any discussion other than me asking Matthew if I had “spank me” written across my forehead..

Hi Cat, what do you think you have gained the most from your ttwd relationships and would you enter a vanilla relationship now?
 
Thanks for your questions, Roz. It’s funny…I gained different things from each relationship I’ve ever been in but since the last 3 have taken up a good portion of my life, I’ll focus on them.
 
From my ex, I gained a confidence in knowing someone had my back and would always protect and care for me. But due to his shenanigans, I lost all confidence in myself as a woman and lost all faith in our relationship.  It’s funny but even after everything that has gone down, I know that if I need him, he’ll be here.
 
I entered a vanilla relationship after the ex and thought we were building something…started gaining my confidence back.  Long story short…he blew it all to hell.
 
Then comes Matthew…with his help, I gained my confidence back and learned to trust again. Learned to like and believe in myself again.
 
From all my relationships, I’ve learned how important communication is to the success of the relationship.  They’ve also taught me to be super honest with myself as to who I am, my faults, likes/dislikes, wants/needs, etc.  How can I be honest with them if I’m not honest with myself.
 
From all my experiences, I’ve learned that I would not be happy in a vanilla relationship so there is no way I will enter into a serious relationship unless it incorporates TTWD.

I am not really a breakfast eater but have been advised by my doctor that I need to do better at eating breakfast.  Still not eating a large breakfast but have two favorites that I switch off between…my baked oatmeal (shared the recipe on my blog) and Greek yogurt with granola and fresh fruit.

I have been lucky enough to meet two bloggers. One who wants to remain anonymous and Clara from Clara’s Wish (she has since pulled her blog but is thinking of starting a new one…fingers crossed. )

You know that I am the BIGGEST fan of some of your great recipes. Baked Oatmeal comes to mind. I think that I am addicted to that one with blueberries and walnuts btw!
What are your three absolutely favourite things to cook or bake? And why?
2. If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?

LOL Cuz…
I am also addicted to my baked oatmeal…you just reminded me that I need to get more baked and put up in the freezer....think I'll make my favorite...apples, cinnamon and walnuts. 

I can’t just name three favorites…I do love my Ginger Cookies, Colcannon, Christmas Cake, Coconut Chicken with Pineapple Fried Rice, Chicken Salad, Orange Tilapia, Fruit Dip, Spiced Cider, Eggnog, Turkey Soup, Bacon Candy, Caribbean Chicken and Sweet Potato Soup and…actually anything I shared…and there are definitely more than three!

Oh and why?  Because I love to eat...as my scale can unfortunately confirm.  

If I could live anywhere else in the world, it would probably be an island in the Caribbean...not sure which one yet (as long as I had won the lottery and could bring my grands to visit me whenever they wanted.)

First wish for my friend would be for her to receive enough money to remodel her house including fixing her plumbing, siding and roofing issues as well remodel the kitchen and soundproof the bedroom.

Second wish for someone I haven’t seen in a while would be that his injuries to his foot and ankle be 100% healed IMMEDIATELY!

Third wish for me is that I have 24 hours to have as many wishes as I want!

My favorite cookies vary depending on my mood.  I do love my Soft Ginger Cookies but also love White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies as well as Chocolate Chip Walnut cookies.  Oh and sometimes I bake Chocolate Chip cookies with Macadamia Nuts.  I try to keep a variety baked and in the freezer.  As with Katie, you have reminded me that I need to replenish my stash!

Tell one romantic story about Matthew and one story when you were in a heap of trouble.

Hey Mere…
Matthew and I lived approximately 2 hours apart and most of the time he was traveling for work.  One Friday evening, I was supposed to meet him at his place but came down very ill.  I called him to let him know I wasn’t going to be able to make it and looked forward to seeing him in 2 weeks (the next time he would be back in town).  He told me to get some rest and forbid me from doing any household chores.  I crawled back in bed and went to sleep. I woke later to Matthew bringing chicken noodle soup and shrimp fried rice from my favorite Chinese restaurant.  He stayed as long as he could over the weekend…doing laundry, grocery shopping, and taking care of me.  Might not be romantic to some but sure was to me!

The most trouble I ever got into with Matthew was when he told me he couldn’t imagine his life without me.  We met for a lovely dinner, told me he knew I wasn’t ready for marriage but he wanted a commitment between us and gave me a lovely Claddagh ring.  I told him he was an idiot, started reeling off all my faults, told him to find someone new and left the restaurant.  Since he had driven in from the airport and I had driven from work, my car was there and I left quickly.  I have a need for speed in the best of times and when I am upset, my foot becomes pure D lead!  Matthew drove the speed limit and showed up at my house about 20 minutes after I got home.  Without going into further details, let’s just say that I did not sit easily for a while.  Oh and yes, ended up wearing the Claddagh ring.

Have you ever visited England?  Where is your favourite place to visit for a holiday?

Hey Jan…
Unfortunately, I’ve never been lucky enough to visit England but would really love to. 

Currently my favorite place to visit is with my grands.  But when (notice I did not say if ) I win the big lottery jackpot, I intend to do a lot of traveling, including England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Italy, France, and the Caribbean as well as take many cruises.

Actually, yes, I have been spanked while wearing leggings. 

I am no longer spanked (for more info as to why, click the ‘My Life’ link in the upper right sidebar) but when I was, it depended on the situation…sometimes it was a few quick smacks over whatever I happened to wear, sometimes a few harder smacks over underwear and sometimes it was a barn burner on a bare tush.

Hmmmmmm question huh? Okay what is the naughtiest prank you ever played on someone?

Not sure this is the naughtiest prank but it is funny…When my ex and I were first married, we lived in the city.  Our front yard was fenced and I saw a rabbit running around the yard.  Convinced my ex to go after it with a broom since he couldn’t shoot his rifle in city limits and we didn’t have an air rifle at the time.  If was after dark and summer so he went after it in his undershorts.  When he tried to come back in, without the rabbit (wish I had a video of him chasing the rabbit with the broom ), I locked the front door and turned the porch light on.  Yes, I did pay for that stunt but it was so worth it.

I am proudly friends with all types of people…gay, straight, bisexual, male, female, trans, Black, White, Asian, as well as Glitterbugs who are Pink with Purple Polka Dots…oh and don’t forget a One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying Purple People Eater.  That does not mean I will “turn” any or all of those that I’m not already.  Oh just in case it is that important to you…for the record, I am a straight female.

I can’t begin to tell you everywhere I receive and/or find jokes…on Facebook, I follow several funny sites, several inspirational sites and of course, friends send lots of warped jokes to me.     Yes, I do have several libraries…jokes, inspirational, naughty, different holidays, etc.  I really need to clean them up and sort them better so that I can find things easier.  Maybe one of these days…

I love to paint as well as read and play with my cats. In the summer, I make and can relish and I love to attend auctions.

I am so very proud of my children and granddaughters…they are my greatest joy.

I’m rereading Mercedes Lackey ‘Diana Tregard Investigation’ series.  Totally love to go back a reread books…especially series.  When I get done, I’m going to reread JD Robb’s ‘Eve Dallas’ series…think there’s about 35 or so of them.

What was your favourite subject as school?

This is an easy one…absolutely loved any and all art classes.

All over the world!  Where wouldn’t I travel!

Someone comes to visit you. What would you cook or where would you suggest as a place to eat out?

Depends on how many are coming, the time of year and what food allergies everyone has.  I might fix my Caribbean Chicken and Sweet Potato soup, or Chicken and Homemade Noodles, Tex Mex, or just good ole country cookin’. Friends could always look at some of the recipes I’ve shared and request something.   We also have several good restaurants in town or we could go up to a wonderful buffet at one of our local casinos! 

Do you regret anything I bbc.co life that you would go back and change if you could? What would it be?

Hindsight is 20/20 and we can always say…oh if I could only go back and change this, that or the other but then I stop and think…if I were to go back and change anything in my life, chances are, I would not have my children and I probably would not be the person I am now.  And even though I still have improvements I need to make to myself, I basically like me.

My absolutely favorite hobby is painting and would be such a happy camper if I could support myself with them.  I also love reading…all kinds of books!
