Welcome to my little corner of the world where you never know what you will find! It could be anything from a joke to a funny picture to a personal rant to a favorite recipe to an awesome quote to any random "bright idea" that pops into my mind.

Cherokee Legend
Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youths' rite of passage?
His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it.
He cannot cry out for help to anyone.
Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.
He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him . Maybe even some human might do him harm. The wind blows the grass and earth, and shakes his stump, but he sits stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man!
Finally, after a horrific night the sun appears and he removes his blindfold.
It is then that he discovers his father sitting on the stump next to him.
He has been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.
We, too, are never alone. Even when we don't know it God is watching over us, sitting on the stump beside us. When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him.

Moral of the story:
Just because you can't see God,
Doesn't mean He is not there
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Group Therapy
A psychiatrist was conducting a Group Therapy Session with five young mothers and their small children. "You all have obsessions," he stated. "I am concerned that these individual obsessions are going to impact your children."
To the first mother, he said: "Mary, You are obsessed with eating. You've even named your daughter: Candy."
He turned to the second Mum: "Ann, Your obsession is with money. It manifests itself in your children's names of Penny, Goldie and Frank.
He turned to the third Mum, "Joyce: Your obsession is alcohol. This too shows itself in your children's names: of Brandy and Sherry. You have even called your cat: Whisky."
He then turned to the fourth Mum: "June: Your obsession is with flowers. Your girls are called Rose, Daphne, and Poppy."
At this point, the fifth mother, Kathy, quietly got up from her seat, took her little boy by the hand and whispered: "Come on Dick, this guy has no idea what he's talking about, grab Fanny and Willy, we're leaving..."

Their Obsession
A renowned psychologist was conducting a group therapy session with four young mothers and their little children.
After a few hours of talking and analyzing their words and behavior, he said: "I believe that you all suffer from some obsession." He remarked.
He turned to the first mother and said, "You obviously have an obsession with food. You've even named your daughter Candy."
He turned to the second Mom. "Your obsession is money. And it manifests itself in your child's name, Penny,"
He turned to the third Mom. "Your obsession is alcohol. Again, it manifests itself in your child's name, Brandy."
At this point, the fourth mother got up, took her little boy by the hand and whispered, "Come on, Dick, let's go".

Personal Request
Hey y’all…
This is not my normal giggle or helpful article so you may want to just come back tomorrow as I’m gonna do something I don’t do very often on this blog…ask for help.
I’ve been dealing with a health issue that has gotten worse and now requires surgery and therapy along with time off work. Have been working to make sure y’all have plenty of giggles while I’m recovering…just might have to wait a bit on responses to comments. Recovery depends on what they find in surgery so could be anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months.
However…having to move timetable for some posts as this holiday weekend went to H. E. Double hockey sticks…
Bottom line…my brother has cancer and has been given 1 1/2 to 2 months max. He took a turn for the worse last night so not sure if he even has a week so I won’t be around very much for a while.
I am asking for prayers, healing energy, positive thoughts…whatever, depending on your belief system, for my brother and mother. Thank you for your support…

Hugs and blessings for all y’all…Cat

Kid Logic
There is nothing funnier than kid-logic. While adults may know the correct answers to life’s most trivial problems, kids tend to take a wittier, more obvious approach to tackling the conundrums.
And while these tactics might seem wrong, they are all technically right.
Below are some of the best loopholes and problem-solving kid-logic has to offer.
Making you crack-up may not have been these kids’ intentions, but that’s all you’ll be able to do when you see these.
The kid who was just trying to be prepared.
Well, I think we would all hate to be on this kid’s bad side!
The kid who breaks all of the fashion rules.
He was told to wear a tie, but no one told him how to wear it!
The kid who is just too good to be a rebel.
So, if you could just work around her schedule to say good-bye forever, that’d be great.
The kid who has marriage all figured out.
It seems like a pretty fool-proof logic!
The kid who is very critical of their mom’s behavior.
Looks like this isn’t mommy’s little secret anymore.
The kid who just can’t wait to eat his pizza.
He does not want any delay to the start of his pizza party.
The kid who gives the best advice.
This kid seriously needs to go back in time and have a chat with President Lincoln.
The kid who has mastered Costco.
He will take one soda and about five straws. Just come back for him when your shopping is done.
The kid who is very literal.
But they are also very right. After all, it was math that got them the answer.
The kid who is the master of disguise.
People have always told him he looks like his mother.
The kid who will not stand for false accusations.
Don’t they know that whoever smelt it, dealt it?
The kid whose parents listen to way too much country music.
Or they party a lot. Either way, this answer was right.
The kid who knows the intricacies of the Declaration of Independence.
I mean, it obviously wasn’t at the top. That wouldn’t make sense!
The kid who really points out the obvious.
Sometimes the right answers are the most obvious!
The kid who has the best wish ever.
Can someone please get this kid a magic lamp ASAP?!
The kid who is a marketing genius.
They know the value of a good product, and you better believe they’re charging for it.
The kid everyone should take dating advice from.
This kid must have a really big family.
The kid who appreciates a good play on words.
This is the perfect comeback for anyone who is caught littering!
The kid who won’t put up with the Tooth Fairy’s nonsense.
She makes a good point. It has been well over a week and she needs the money.
The kid that knows how to get what he wants.
Because who can resist pizza?
The kid who is self-aware.
He knows what he is and he embraces it!
The kid who has a bit of an ego.
Well, I guess that would be one thing that would make them special.
The kid who just wants to get things over with.
He would have written more, but he was REALLY hungry.
The kid whose logic is just too good.
Show them evidence of ghosts and they’ll solve your math problems.
The kid who was told to name the shapes.
Is Tedison a family name?
And while these tactics might seem wrong, they are all technically right.

Parental Texting
We all owe our lives to our parents, and ever since we were young children, they taught us how to do everything from walking to simple math problems. There is also something else that we can learn from our parents, how to be funny!
As we get deeper and deeper into the technological age, there is always going to be some humor associated with it. Today, parents and children are conversing, not only by speaking to each other but through text messages as well. As you will see in these 13 text conversations, our parents certainly have not lost their sense of humor.
