Have I ever, ever, ever…

Our darlin’ Ami over at Ami's Starsong shared the following on her blog and several have answered her questions on their blogs.  Here are my answers…hope you enjoy!

Have you ever, ever, ever in your long-legged life...
1. Stood on top of a very high mountain or cliff, looking down at the countryside or out to sea?

Yes…from the Grand Canyon to the mountains in Colorado to the mountains in California…never fails to inspire.

2. Lay on your back on a hot summer's night, listening to the crickets chirping and watching the satellites as they chase each other across the heavens?

Yes…did it all the time as a child as well as with my children when they were young and with Matthew…don’t do it so much by myself.

3. Skinny dipped at midnight?

Oh yes…and at dusk and noon and many other times. Much prefer no suit.

4. Intentionally or inadvertently swum with sharks?

Not that I’m aware of but haven’t swum in the ocean for years.

5. Broken a bone in your body?

To quote Cassie…”interesting way you phrased the question.” I haven’t broken any bones but did have my wrist fractured playing volleyball as well as had my sternum fractured while horsing around with my ex and boys. Also have had my knee and elbow dislocated...at different times.

6. Driven a car at speeds in excess of 120 mph?

Oh yes…a few times...and didn’t get caught! Absolutely loved the 70’s muscle cars…they could move!

7. Played "Pooh Sticks"?

When my sons were little.

8. Run in a "pancake" race?

It involves running so the answer is a big N.O.!

9. Have your eyelashes dyed?

Nope…have used different colors of mascara though.

10. Ridden a horse naked?

Haven’t ridden a horse since I was a child so the answer is definitely NO.

11. Punted down the river?

Nope…only punting I know has to do with football.

12. Playing tennis in a short white tennis skirt whilst wearing minimal knickers?

Don’t like playing tennis and haven’t done it since it was mandatory in high school.

13. Helped an inebriated husband up the stairs at 2 in the morning?

Oh yes…more than once.  But sometimes just left him on the couch or floor.

14. Been too scared to get out of a swimming pool whilst on holiday, due to a very large Doberman sitting on the edge watching you?

No…have never had anything or anyone keep me from getting out of a pool. FYI…have never been scared of dogs, no matter how big.

15. Sat in a deck chair happily whilst the sound of leather on willow echoes distantly in your ears?

When I first read this question, I thought it was “Sat in a deck chair happily whilst the sound of leather echoed on your bum!” LOL Yes, I have relaxed in deck chairs and listened to many things but never leather on willow…whatever that is.

16. Taken a ride on the Maid of the Mist under Niagara Falls?

No but it is on my bucket list.

17. Climbed up something and been too scared witless to climb back down?

No, have climbed up many things, but never been too afraid to climb back down.

18. Too liberal with "Eau de Cologne" which then ran down where it shouldn't inside knickers?

Ummmm…guilty! Nuff said!

19. Made snow angels?

Many times as a child and when my boys were young. Also made sand angels when I visited the beach.

20. Lost a shoe in a ploughed field in a moonlight walk home after a party?

I have lost a few things in plowed and planted fields *snicker* but never a shoe.

21. Shrieked loudly, due to being spanked hard, and frightened away a visitor who ran back down the drive and now you will never know who was about to knock at your door?

I know I have been heard more than once but if I scared someone away, never knew about it.
