Something to think about!
Welcome to my little corner of the world where you never know what you will find! It could be anything from a joke to a funny picture to a personal rant to a favorite recipe to an awesome quote to any random "bright idea" that pops into my mind.

A good reminder...with both of my parents, it made me very sad to see the rooms that never had visitors....
ReplyDeletehugs abby
It is a good reminder, Abby...it is sad.

I am crying. I remember visiting my Aunt and talking to everyone along the way. My Aunt eventually came home but so many do not. It's sad when they don't have family and friends to visit! I believe in sending out love to others.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Minelle...didn't mean to make you cry. With the way so many families have scattered due to jobs and lifestyles, many older family members are left alone. :(

What a wonderful story and reminder, very sweet and touching. Thank you Cat:)

Such a lovely story. My dad is in a day-care facility and loves when me and my sis go to visit. This is a good reminder - i should visit him there more often instead of only at home.
ReplyDeleteHappy to help you with a reminder, Fondles...I know my grandmother really enjoyed when we came to visit her.

Hi Cat, oh so timely, my mum is in her second care home in a month and fighting against it. Life is very hard, I wish she would read this and see that life is not all bad, no matter where you are
ReplyDeletelove Jan, xx
I'm sorry your mum is having such a rough time, Jan. Sometimes I think people need to stop, look around and see how many others have it much worse than they do. Good luck with your mum.

This brought a tear to my eye, Cat. My mother-in-law was in a care home and it was upsetting to us that some of the residents never had visitors. Harry chatted with everyone in his mum's block and was very popular with the old ladies.
ReplyDeleteRosie xx
Didn't mean to make you cry, Rosie. What a lovely gift Harry gave to those ladies.
