Horseback Riding

If you’ve visited Meredith over at New Twist, After All These Years, you know she is lucky enough to have an assistant, “L”, who sends her lovely pictures. Somehow, I was lucky enough to receive a giggle from her via Mere to share with all y’all. Hope you enjoy.  Thank you so much "L"! Smile

A blonde decides to try horseback riding, even though she has had no lessons, nor prior experience.  She mounts the horse unassisted, and the horse immediately springs into motion.  It gallops along at a steady and rhythmic pace, but the blonde begins to slide from the saddle.

In terror, she grabs for the horse's mane, but cannot seem to get a firm grip.  She tries to throw her arms around the horse's neck, but she slides down the horse's side anyway.  The horse gallops along, seemingly impervious to its slipping rider.

Finally, giving up her frail grip, the blonde attempts to leap away from the horse and throw herself to safety.  Unfortunately, her foot has become entangled in the stirrup, she is now at the mercy of the horse’s pounding hooves as her head is struck against the ground.

As her head is battered against the ground, she is mere moments away from unconsciousness, when to her great fortune…Frank, the Walmart greeter, sees her dilemma, and unplugs the horse.

And you thought all they did was say Hello.

How to Get Hired at Wal-Mart

A manager at Wal-Mart had the task of hiring someone to fill a job opening.

After sorting through a stack of resumes he found four people who were equally qualified.  He decided to call the four in and ask them only one question.  Their answer would determine which of them would get the job.

The day came and as the four sat around the conference room table, the interviewer asked, 'What is the fastest thing you know of?'

The first man replied, 'A THOUGHT.' It just pops into your head. There's no warning.
'That's very good!' replied the interviewer.

'And, now you sir?', he asked the second man.

'Hmmm...let me see 'A blink!  It comes and goes and you don't know that it ever happened.  A BLINK is the fastest thing I know of.'

'Excellent!' said the interviewer.  'The blink of an eye, that's a very popular cliché for speed.'

He then turned to the third man, who was contemplating his reply.

'Well, out at my dad's ranch, you step out of the house and on the wall there's a light switch.  When you flip that switch, way out across the pasture the light on the barn comes on in less than an instant.  'Yep, TURNING ON A LIGHT is the fastest thing I can think of'.

The interviewer was very impressed with the third answer and thought he had found his man. 'It's hard to beat the speed of light,' he said.

Turning to BUBBA, the fourth and final man, the interviewer posed the same question.

Old Bubba replied, 'After hearing the previous three answers, it's obvious to me that the fastest thing known is DIARRHEA.'

'WHAT!?' said the interviewer, stunned by the response.

'Oh sure', said BUBBA. 'You see, the other day I wasn't feeling so good, and I ran for the bathroom, but before I could THINK, BLINK, or TURN ON THE LIGHT, I had already pooped my pants.'

BUBBA is now the new greeter at a Wal-Mart near you!

Woman Accuses Clerk Of Overcharging Her

A woman goes into Wal-Mart to buy a rod and reel. She doesn't know which one to get so she just grabs one and goes over to the register. There is a Wal-Mart "associate" standing there with dark shades on.

She says, "Excuse me sir...can you tell me anything about this rod and reel?"

He says, "Ma'am I'm blind but if you will drop it on the counter I can tell you everything you need to know about it from the sound that it makes."

She didn't believe him, but dropped it on the counter anyway.

He said, "That's a 6' graphite rod with a Zebco 202 reel and 10 lb. test line...It's a good all around rod and reel and it's $20.00".

She says, "That's amazing that you can tell all that just by the sound of it dropping on the counter. I think it's what I'm looking for so I'll take it."

He walks behind the counter to the register, and in the meantime the woman breaks wind big-time.

At first she is embarrassed but then realizes that there is no way he could tell it was her...being blind he wouldn't know that she was the only person around.  He rings up the sale and says, "That will be $25.50."

She says, "But didn't you say it was $20.00?"

He says, "Yes ma'am, the rod and reel is $20.00, the duck call is $3.00, and the catfish stink bait is $2.50."

Grocery Shopping

Even though this is written in the first person, it was not written by me!  A friend sent it…who knows…it may actually be about him.  Winking smile

I went grocery shopping recently while not being altogether sure that said course of action was a wise one. You see, the previous evening I had prepared and consumed a massive quantity of my patented ‘Killer Chili’. Tasty stuff, albeit hot to the point of being painful, which comes with a written guarantee from me that if you eat the next day both of your butt cheeks WILL fall off.

Here’s the thing. I had awakened that morning, and even after two cups of coffee (and all of you know what I mean) nothing happened.  No ‘Watson’s Movement 2′.  Despite habanera peppers swimming their way through my intestinal tract, I appeared to be unable to create the usual morning symphony referred to by my next door neighbors as thunder and lightning.

Knowing that a time of reckoning had to come, yet not sure of when, I bravely set off for the market; a local Wal-Mart grocery store that I often haunt in search of tasty tidbits.

Upon entering the store at first all seemed normal.  I selected a cart and began pushing it about dropping items in for purchase.  It wasn’t until I was at the opposite end of the store from the restrooms that the pain hit me.  Oh, don’t look at me like you don’t know what I’m talking about.  I’m referring to that ‘Uh oh, gotta go’ pain that always seems to hit us at the wrong time.  The thing is, this pain was different.

The habaneras in the chili from the night before were staging a revolt.  In a mad rush for freedom they bullied their way through the small intestines, forcing their way into the large intestines, and before I could take one step in the direction of the restrooms which would bring sweet relief, it happened.  The peppers fired a warning shot.

There I stood, alone in the spice and baking aisle, suddenly enveloped in a noxious cloud the likes of which has never before been recorded.  I was afraid to move for fear that more of this vile odor might escape me.  Slowly, oh so slowly, the pressure seemed to leave the lower part of my body, and I began to move up the aisle and out of it, just as an elderly woman turned into it.

I don’t know what made me do it, but I stopped to see what her reaction would be to the malodorous effluvium that refused to dissipate, as she walked into it unsuspecting.  Have you ever been torn in two different directions emotionally.  Here’s what I mean, and I’m sure some of you at least will be able to relate.

I could’ve warned that poor woman but didn’t.  I simply watched as she walked into an invisible, and apparently indestructible, wall of odor so terrible that all she could do before gathering her senses and running, was to stand there blinking and waving her arms about her head as though trying to ward off angry bees.  This, of course, made me feel terrible, but then made me laugh.  Big Mistake.

Here’s the thing.  When you laugh, it’s hard to keep things ‘clamped down’, if you know what I mean.  With each new guffaw an explosive issue burst forth from my nether region.  Some were so loud and echoing that I was later told a few folks in other aisles had ducked, fearing that someone was robbing the store and firing off a shotgun.

Suddenly things were no longer funny.  IT was coming, and I raced off through the store towards the restrooms, laying down a cloud the whole way, praying that I’d make it before the grand mal assplosion took place.

Luck was on my side.  Just in the nick of time I got to the john, began the inevitable ‘Oh my God’, floating above the toilet seat because my butt is burning SO BAD, purging.  One poor fellow walked in while I was in the middle of what is the true meaning of ‘Shock and Awe’.  He made a gagging sound, and disgustedly said, ‘ Oh my Lord’, then quickly left.

Once finished I left the restroom, reacquired my partially filled cart intending to carry on with my shopping when a store employee approached me and said, ‘Sir, you might want to step outside for a few minutes.  It appears some prankster set off a stink bomb in the store.  The manager is going to run the vent fans on high for a minute or two which ought to take care of the problem.’

That of course set me off again, causing residual gases to escape me.  The employee took one sniff, jumped back pulling his shirt up to cover his nose and, pointing at me in an accusing manner shouted, ‘IT’S YOU!’, then ran off returning moments later with the manager.  I was unceremoniously escorted from the premises and asked none too kindly not to return.

Home again without having shopped, I realized that there was nothing to eat but leftover chili, so I consumed two more bowls.  The next day I went to shop at Food Town.  I can’t say anymore about that because we are in court over the whole matter.  They claim they’re going to have to repaint the store.

Wal-Mart Deli

The following was shared by a friend of mine on Facebook…I laughed until I cried and knew I just had to share it with all of you!  Open-mouthed smile

This is the ridiculous story of Shane, a Wal-Mart deli employee. The pictures were taken by his co-worker, Reddit user Ardentleprechaun, of notes left for Shane by store management. The pics show a whiteboard in a back room of the store, with written warnings from his boss repeatedly scolding him for his antics.

Pants! They’re Not for Everyone…

Just gonna share the comments that came with the pictures…feel free to add your own suggestions for captions! Open-mouthed smile

10 Items or Less

10 Items or Less

She failed to realize that her pants did not count towards the item count. Kudos to her for trying to be fair. Most people don't even care if they check out 11, or even 12 items!

Pants on a Plane

Pants on a Plane

How unfair is this? They weigh every ounce you take on the plane but when you try to save some room by taking your pants off suddenly it's a big deal. Hey, not everyone needs pants to fly.

Paper Pants

Paper Pants

There was no more toilet paper. So they did the only reasonable thing they could think of. They used their pants. Pants were never their thing anyway.

No Pants Ride

No Pants Ride

What does it matter? Subways are underground. Only God can see your shame down there and he's already used to it. So who cares? Pants are for the surface.

Leggings?

Leggings

IF!! If these are actually leggings, remember the rule: Leggings are NOT Pants. Especially these.

No Booty

No Booty

When you look like this, well the same rules still apply. You should wear pants. A shirt would be nice too. #pantsforpartygirls #donate

Saving Money

Saving Money

He obviously can't afford pants. That's why he's saving money any way possible. #pants #soon

A Good Jacket

A Good Jacket

People that don't like pants rely on good jackets. If you're toasty on top, let that butt hang free. #america

Be Yourself

Be Yourself

But then again, if pants are really not your thing it's probably better to just go without them than risk tripping all over the city (probably killing babies).

Legs for Days

Legs for Days

She's got legs for days! The kind of days that blur together with no definition at all.
