Update from Queenie

Hi Everyone,
I'm doing better now. I have some bad days/hours, but overall, things are going pretty well.

I still can't seem to GAIN any weight, but I have not lost any more since I started eating cottage cheese blended with flax oil and ground flax seeds.  It's called the Budwig Diet.  Dr. Johanna Budwig, who was a German biochemist, came up with the idea after years of research into essential fatty acids.  Her research and theories about cancer are really very interesting and she had a lot of success with terminal cancer patients.  Patients who conventional medicine had given up on after all the surgeries and chemo/radiation. (Just for clarification, I have not had any of those three things. I refused all three, with very good reason. I am 100% alternative.)

Anyway, calling it the Budwig Diet is a little misleading though as you do eat normally, but very healthfully, in addition to the flax/cottage cheese mixture.

There is a long list of foods I can't have anymore, at least for now, but there are still a lot of good things to eat too. I  also have a very high quality nutritional powder called Cellect that I mix up into a smoothie twice a day.

I even do the dreaded coffee enemas. I never thought I would be doing such a weird thing- until I understood the reasons for doing so. They are vital. Still, not much fun either!!

I still juice carrots/beets/green apples/ginger root and have some everyday.  I finally figured out that freezing individual servings to last several days cut down on the big chore of tearing down and washing that big juicer every single day! I eat bitter apricot kernels everyday. Google it if you're curious.

It's all a lot of work sometimes, and I do get tired and wish I could just stop or slack off.  Like it's all just some New Year's resolution that I can forget about when I don't want to do it anymore.

But, then, I think about how much I want to be here. To have more time with my husband and to see my grandkids graduate someday. I know that I would be fine in the 'hereafter', but I'm not ready to leave my family/friends just yet.

So, it doesn't matter how tired I get, I will keep getting my behind up and out of bed and I will continue to do all those things that can heal me of this blasted cancer.

I again want to thank every single person who has kept me in their thoughts and prayers and well wishes. Whether you left a comment or not. Thank you!

Please keep those prayers/thoughts coming my way. Those are the best medicine of all!!

Love,
Queenie

thank you to a friend

  2. Oh thank you Queenie! I am very interested in what you are doing. I have read a bit on something similar. It might be the same protocol. I have you in my prayers for continued healing!

    1. Hi Minelle, thank YOU for saying that. I was a little worried about boring everyone with too many details, so I kept it pretty condensed. The coffee enema was maybe a little too TMI as well, but what the heck, it's an important part of it all, and I have shared even more intimate things in my time here.

That you even called it a protocol tells me know how much reading you've done. I first read about the budwig/cellect protocol in this great book I have called "Cancer, Step Outside the Box." The biggest alternative cancer treatment site in the world, cancer tutor dot com, also talks about it in great detail. There's even a yahoo group I recently joined that's all about the flax/cc combo. A ton of great info and encouragement there from people who have had great success.

Many, many thanks for the healing prayers Minelle! They work and I'm living proof.

  3. Hi Queenie, thank you so much for the update. I'm so glad you are doing better. Interesting diet. I have heard of apricot kernels. Very high in vitamin B17, or laetrile. Very effective in fighting cancer. I understand that you also need an enzyme to help the body process the vitamin. From memory I think it is found in pineapples?

Continuing to send positive thoughts and prayers, strength and love your way.

Thank you Cat for publishing this for Queenie.

    1. Hi Roz, you are most welcome. Thank you for caring! I am so impressed with you and Minelle! I know I had never heard of the apricot kernels or any protocols until after I got my diagnosis and started actively looking for such info. Yes, the bitter apricot kernels are a good source of laetrile. Interestingly enough, our government banned the bitter apricot tree many years ago. Almonds used to be a pretty good source as well, until the FDA decreed that raw almonds are dangerous and now almonds are always irradiated. Apple seeds are a decent source too. I always eat the seeds when I eat an organic apple. Enzymes are a critical part of the process. Pineapples are a wonderful source of bromelain, and a cancer fighter in it's own right, but I don't know if that alone would be sufficient for my purposes. I have a supplement very high in trypsin, chymotrypsin and amylase to make sure I've covered all the bases.

Thank you so much Roz for the continuing thoughts/prayers coming my way. I appreciate them very much!

    2. Oops, sorry guys. I meant to say that almonds are always pasteurized, not irradiated.

  5. Which kind of cancer is it, Queenie? I know some allopathic physicians who are I to alternative solutions for cancer (evidence based results for natural therapies) and there are a couple of things I may be able to pass on based in what kind of cancer you have.

    1. Hi Anonymous and thank you so much for taking the time to comment and your kind offer.

After my encounters with two allopathic doctors, I am very fortunate to have found a local doctor who is knowledgeable in both traditional and alternative treatments, as well as nutrition. At this time, I am very happy with the way things are going. I fully credit the Budwig diet with stopping my weight loss. I spent the entire month of January trying to do that. I first tried the flax/cc combo January 29th and I haven't lost a single pound since then. For me, that is all the evidence I require!

I could really get up my soapbox here and talk for days about the cancer 'industry', but I should get my own blog for something like that. I will just say that the cancer 'industry' is hugely profitable. Every cancer patient is worth upwards of half a million dollars. The American Cancer Society rakes in over 300 million dollars a year. Pharmaceutical companies make millions on their chemo. The list goes on and on. The fact is, the 'standard of care' for a cancer patient has not significantly changed in the past 50 years. Burn, poison and slash, aka 'the big three' is incredibly barbaric and I believe that someday we will look back on these so called 'treatments' and shake our heads in disbelief. Just like we do now over doctors who didn't believe that hand washing for example was necessary!

    2. I agree with you. What I was hoping to say is that depending on what kind of cancer you have, I may know of some additonal, little known alternative/natural solutions you can add to your tool box, because I happen to know some allopathic physicians who are into natural therapies that have had really quality studies done on them. So, depending on what type of cancer you have, I may have one or three things to pass on to you for your research that aren't as well known yet in the world of alternative therapies for cancer.

I believe God out stuff in creation to heal such things as cancer, and that we have only barely started discovering it all. (Did I miss you stating what kind of cancer, or is that something you want to keep to yourself for now?)

    4. Hi Anon, thank you for clarifying things. Honestly, a totally anonymous commentator makes me a little nervous. Pretty silly I guess considering that anyone can tack on any old name they want to at the end of an anonymous comment. I appreciate your kind offer. Let's chat privately? 7. Hi Cat, thank you for publishing this entry!
Hi Queenie, thank you for keeping us updated. I am so relieved to read that you are feeling better. I think I do get that preparing and sticking to the diet and all that comes along with it …. coffee enema (yikes!) …. must be annoying at times, but I think it is wonderful that you do this, that you fight on and know what you are doing it for. I wish so much for you that you will see and do all the things you want to do and I am sending positive thoughts and prayers and hope that your healing will continue and that you defeat this horrible cancer.

    hugs

    1. Hi Nina :) I love your comments! They're so compassionate and heartfelt. Thank you so much for the positive thoughts, prayers and hope. I am grateful and I know that they work!

Yep, coffee enemas!! It's my understanding that you could kill every single cell in your body and still die from the toxicity of it all. I wish I could just drink the coffee, but it wouldn't affect my liver the same way. The coffee in the enema bypasses the digestive tract and goes directly to the liver via the portal vein. The coffee, which you have to retain for 15 minutes, 5 minutes on each side and your back, forces the bile ducts to open, flooding the liver with bile. Bile cleanses the liver of dead cancer cells and the lactic acid that cancer cells produce. I understand that it also causes your gallbladder to spasm. I just know that my liver area feels much better since I started doing the enemas on a regular basis. Not just that area, but overall I feel better. I can feel the difference when I don't do it. As distasteful as they are, I highly recommend them to anyone, not just a cancer patient.

Thanks again for your support Nina, God bless!

  12. Hi Queenie! :) You know, you are such an amazing example of strength and determination! I admire you for not only your attitude, but your courage. I am rooting for you, and praying, and sending the biggest of hugs!

I think that it is wonderful that you have gone down this path to discover, and even tolerate some not so pleasant alternative treatments. I really do think that you are onto something. The whole medical/pharmaceutical goings on have to be so very political. As someone who is involved int he medical field, one has to wonder how to bring about the important changes that are necessary to help millions moving forward. You have researched and are going for it all. Good for you! Stay strong and keep going Lady! I'm so glad that your efforts are helping, as well as really making you feel better. Many, many hugs to you Queenie!

    1. Aw, Katie, I'm blushing! Thank you so much for your very kind and supportive comments. Most people are supportive, but of course, some others just think I'm crazy :) Maybe I am, but to my mind, trying to heal myself by injecting a toxic chemical cocktail that kills absolutely everything including my immune system is just insane. Ditto to burning myself with cancer CAUSING radiation! I know some have successfully fought their cancer by doing so, but many more have not.

A close family member died from lung cancer, but not before he was tortured for 6 months with chemo. He spent those last 6 months so sick he couldn't get out of bed most days, racked with pain and puking his guts out. He went downhill so very fast after he started his 'treatment', I can't help but think he would have been better off and probably would have lived longer had he not gone along with his doctors orders.

I have read about a poll that was done of oncologists. It asked the doctors if they would take their own chemo, and a high percentage, close to 80%, said they would not! Yet, they have no problem subjecting their patients to it. If the standard of care for cancer patients worked, cancer would not be the second leading cause of death in this country. It may actually be the leading cause of death now. I have read on a few sites that cancer has now overtaken heart disease.

Again, Katie, thank you so much for taking the time to leave me such a sweet uplifting comment! I know that you have a very full plate right now and it has been for some time now. I think you are a fine example of a strong, caring daughter and I admire your dedication so much!! I pray for you and you mother and the rest of your family every night. Please, take care of yourself too!

      Many, many hugs right back!
