The Origin of the “High Five”

If you've wondered...yes, I have been missing from blogland for the last few weeks.  Between holidays, family craziness along with an injury, or two, it's been a bit stressful around here.  Yes, I managed to injure myself...more than once...for which I am now in therapy (1 11/2 hour round trip in good traffic and an hour in therapy) which is going to be very fun as I am now back at work.  SO that adds to my stress levels along with making my days longer.  Oh and  I'm supposed to ease off  computer usage as much as possible.  Hahaha  My work Inbox is full of work that needs to be accomplished so don't think my boss is going to be super understanding.  Hopefully, I'm back now, will answer comments more promptly and will try to visit your blogs as I can.

Now....on to our regularly scheduled program...

    1. Thanks 1MV...my leg and foot are healing well but it's going to take quite a while for the muscles in my back to heal. LOL I was thinking the same thing when I saw a couple on TV high fiving each other. :D

  4. So sorry to hear that you're dealing with injuries, Cat. I am hoping that you feel better soon!

Perhaps you should get voice recognition software that lets you say what you want to write and it does it all. That way, you can respond to e-mails without using the keyboard all the time.

    1. Thanks, CB...several years ago, when I couldn't use my right arm and had to undergo surgery, some lovely friends from blogland went together and gifted me with some voice recognition software. The only problem is that it can't be loaded on my company computer and even if it could, it wouldn't help with all the drawing I have to do. I probably do need to see if I can get it installed and updated on this computer and at least use it for blogging and emailing again.

  7. Dear Cat,
I'm sorry you had not one, but two injuries and then you have to deal with such a long drive to help with the healing process. Prayers and hugs for you my friend for a speedy recovery.

    1. Thank you so much, Baker...can use all the prayers and hugs I can get. At least my therapist knows that if there is any bad weather, I will not be driving up there. :)
