Welcome to my little corner of the world where you never know what you will find! It could be anything from a joke to a funny picture to a personal rant to a favorite recipe to an awesome quote to any random "bright idea" that pops into my mind.

DST Fall 2016
As I’ve said before, I really believe this started out as a big joke with DST meaning for Dumb and Stupid Time and the government went for it!

Hi Cat, I'm so glad we are now in DST (sorry :)

Roz
LOL Roz...just need to leave it one way or the other...lot less trouble if you gradually get used to dark. ;)

True, however I sure like the idea of an extra hour tonight!! :)
ReplyDeleteI do like that idea, Minelle but my animals are not going to like the shift in schedule. ;)

I love the fall because we "gain an hour", but you might as well just hang it up come spring because that is for the birds when we "lose an hour". I'm with you just keep it the same. It's much easier and it throws everyone off. The kids will be a mess all week because of the time change, which means I will too!

I understand what you're saying abut your kiddos, Baker...mine were the same way when they were growing up...meals, bedtimes, etc. were all off schedule. Still have that problem with my cats. And we are changing back on the 4th of March so that's only 4 months of 'regular' time before we go back to dumb and stupid time!

Hi cat, I could have done with a post like this a couple of weeks back when I forgot! Enjoy the lie in.
ReplyDeletelove Jan, xx
You'll have to bookmark it for next year, Jan. ;) Didn't get a lie in as my cats decided to wake me up early! Grrrr

Arizona does not change the clocks. At first it was difficult getting used to it being dark so early in the summer, but now I'm used to it being dark at 6:15 or so and there is no adjustment. I've heard that other states are considering doing away with it too.
ReplyDeleteI have always envied those in Arizona and Hawaii for not having to endure the stupid time changes. Would love it if all the states did away with it. Really fun when I have to plan meetings as US changed time before we did and now we've changed time and then others haven't...*sigh* World Clock is my best friend! LOL

If I ever get to retire, I don't think I will care one way or the other. For now, though, I am glad I do not have to leave for work in the dark.
ReplyDeleteI always used to worry about children waiting for the bus in the dark as well. Still need to do many clocks around this house.
Ella
Think it will still bother me if I ever retire, Ella as it messes with my internal clock as well as my pets. The last jpg above states my opinion best. ;)

I hate the dark nights of winter. Only 45 days to the winter solstice and the nights will start getting shorter.
ReplyDeleteRosie xx
Never really minded the dark nights of winter, Rosie...it's the sudden change rather than the gradual that really annoys me. Already counting down to Winter Solstice are ya. LOL Sending lots of positive energy your way.

Hiya Cuz! :) While I am not especially fond of it getting dark at 4:30p now, I do enjoy the nice welcoming sunlight when I get up. I am a morning person through and through, so I find it a nice way to start the day. As for the evenings- Sunday night, I think that I was ready for bed at 6:30p! LOL! I've adjusted. So has our cat, thankfully! LOL! Many hugs,

LOL Cuz...I could be a morning person also...if morning started around noon. ;) My cats have still not adjusted...they are waking me up super early and wanting their dinners early. Just leave the time alone...either all DST or all Standard. Grrr Okay...grumpy signing out. ;)
