Thank you to all who made the time to publish a special LOL post. Found some new blogs and found some I had lost!
Thanks to the lovely Bonnie over at A Spanko Garden who originated this wonderful event and to the very special Hermione of Hermione's Heart who organized and managed it again this year.
One thing I noticed was that many of the comments here had something to say about the recipes I’ve shared. So I’m asking two things:
1. If you have tried any of the recipes I’ve shared, please leave a comment letting others know if you liked or disliked it and if you made any changes/substitutions.
2. Are there any recipes you would to have?

ReplyDeleteI love your baked oatmeal recipe, that is the only one I've had time to try. I do plan on trying a few more when time allows. I would love a really good gingerbread cookie recipe. Mine always turns out too dry and crumbly.

Happy you and your family enjoy the baked oatmeal, Baker. I posted a Soft Ginger Cookie recipe last year that everyone who has tried it seems to love. When baked right, they turn out soft and moist...not crumbly at all. If you try them, please let me know how they turn out for you.

Hi Cat, love this post. I must admit I haven't tried any of your recipes. Must get around to it, just convert them to gluten free. Now cocktail swap sounds wonderful.

Hi Cuz! :) Happy THanksgiving Weekend to you! I love your baked oatmeal, as you know. I have tried them a variety of ways. It is that time of year again to bring them in. I used to make them and freeze some when I stayed at Mom and Dad's house, taking some out each time that I would be there. They are very good, even when defrosted and heated!
ReplyDeleteI also, love the idea of a cocktail swap! LOL! As you know, I love your mulled cider recipe. Laced with brandy for the adults, and straight up for the under 21 age group. It is always a hit! I will defiinitely be trying more as we go along, now that life is not so crazy! It is almost time to make those gingerbread fellas. The girls and I were talking about doing that when they come back for Christmas. We had fun with the decorating, as you might recall! LOL! Many hugs to you, Cuz!

Happy Thanksgiving weekend, Cuz...I know you are having a wonderful time with your girls. Oh yes, I know you love my baked oatmeal...with cranraisins isn't it. I have 1/2 batch with walnuts and 1/2 batch with blueberries in the freezer. I can get one out before I go to bed to defrost and then put it in the toaster oven for about 10 minutes in the morning.
DeleteOh yes, spiced cider will definitely be part of our Christmas. That's the first thing my youngest heads for when he walks in. LOL Sometimes I will make up a batch with 1/2 gallon of cider and then pour it into a glass pitcher with an airtight lid (the citrus is better in glass than plastic). Then I can just pour a mug whenever I want and heat it up in the microwave.
Not sure if I'm gonna have time to do a cocktail swap between now and Christmas but might see what I could do about organizing one after the first of the year.
