Sharing a goodie from Meredith's Jack, to kick off our week with a smaile.
Sobeys, Gimli, Manitoba, Supermarket
It has an automatic a water mister to keep the produce fresh.
Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain.
When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and there is the scent of freshly mowed hay.
In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks with onions.
When you approach the egg case, you hear hens clucking and cackling, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.
The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread and cookies.
I don't buy toilet paper there anymore.
Welcome to my little corner of the world where you never know what you will find! It could be anything from a joke to a funny picture to a personal rant to a favorite recipe to an awesome quote to any random "bright idea" that pops into my mind.

Cool! I visited Gimli when I was in Winnipeg for a week. It's only a half-hour drive north. It has the largest Icelandic population outside of Iceland.
ReplyDeleteI never visited Sobeys when I was there. Perhaps when I'm back there, I will check it out and see if the eggs cluck at me. =)
You'll have to let us know, CB. And if they do, share a video with us! :)

Well Cuz... I was about to take the journey to that supermarket, up until the very end! YUCK!!!! LOL! That Jack! Many hugs,
ReplyDelete<3 Katie
That Jack is right, Cuz. ;) As long as they kept the smells to the food aisles to reflect cooking, it would be great. Can you imagine walking through the baking aisle and smelling cookies and cakes? Yum! :)
