Love Our Lurkers 2014 Day 1

Hey y’all It's that time of year again...yup, the day, originally created by the lovely Bonnie over at A Spanko Garden and continued by the very special Hermione of Hermione's Heart. The day that we bloggers set aside as a special day to show our appreciate for each and every one of you that come to visit our little corner of the world.

This year, because we have so many blogs participating, Hermione has suggested that we spread LOL over two days so that everyone has a chance to visit all the participating blogs. Isn’t that lovely! So I am doing a different post for each day. Open-mouthed smile

Ya never know what your gonna find when you come to visit my particular corner…

I could share a recipe…but for now, click on the ‘Recipe’ Label over to the right and see if you find anything yummy.

But most of all…everyone is welcome here as long as they are respectful. We are all different…we are not always going to agree…but that is what keeps life interesting.

I know you…I was you! Each and every one of us has been in your shoes. I've lurked on different blogs...still do on a few in fact, without ever leaving a comment. You read different blogs, maybe searching for answers or just looking for something interesting…but for whatever reason (nerves, fear, you feel you have nothing of value to say), you don’t comment.

Today is the first day that I am inviting YOU…YES YOU to leave a comment on my blog. You can be completely anonymous or use an alias as many in blog land do. All I ask is that you say ‘hi’…one little word…break the ice a bit. Of course, you are more than welcome to say more or to ask a question. LOL

My particular corner is more TTWD/DD lite but I am willing to answer any questions you may have. If you have a request for a particular topic…let me know. But I will warn you ahead of time…

WOW! That picture with the swans and the trees is absolutely gorgeous!! I mean, I know it must be doctored up a bit (bright pink and purple trees?? I wish!), but man is that pretty.

I just found your blog not too long ago and love it! Your artwork is so wonderful and I can't pick just one or two as my favorites. After church on Sundays, a group of us meet for dinner, each bringing a dish, and since it was my turn to bring hors d'oeuvre I brought your pumpkin dip with apple and pear slices. Everyone loved it! Next time, I will have to double the recipe! Thank you for sharing such wonderful things on your blog.

Happy LoL Day 1 Cat! Awesome post! Loved the last one and the swans. The Catsnuts had me spluttering with laughter on the train home. Rules for reading Cat's blog ... never read at work, on public transport or while consuming food or drink :)

Happy LOL Day Cat! I think I discovered your blog pretty early in my lurker days - I never knew what to expect, but I always loved it. :) You make me smile, you make me reflect - you welcome everyone with open arms - I love coming by as often as I can and I'm sure many others feel the same way. I ended up getting drunk on wine at Rogue's and now come here and Cat has more wine. I do so love LOL Day! I finished leaving a gift at PK's place, New Beginnings, and walked over to Cat's place. The sun was starting to rise and it was going to be a glorious day in this community of blogs.

Thinking of Cat, I had to smile. She is a favorite of everyone. Always making us giggle with her jokes, especially since they are sometimes on the naughty side. She makes us think and reflect on more serious topics and then sigh with appreciation when shows us something beautiful. Look at today. She gave us an example of all three.

Walking up to her place, it looked like she was asleep still. Quiet. Still. Perfect time to de-lurk and leave a gift. What would be better but a large bouquet of flowers and a book of ONE MILLION JOKES WITH PICTURES. I don't want her to ever run out. I signed the card and attached it to the gift. It read, "To Cat on LOL Day. Love, a Lurker."

I pulled the list out of my pocket and had a look. Where to next, I wondered. Aha! To Bonnie and Hermoine, of course. And I walked away.

I posted my Love Our Lurkers post and then headed out of town. So I am not really late just kind of late (or that like being kind of pregnant). Haven't lurked in awhile and I try to comment as much as possible. But just so you know, love your blog and love you. You are a great friend!
