Scottish Men

I was reading Part three of how Jim and Christina met and her introduction to DD. I had just gotten to the section in the reader comments where Jim, HoH hat firmly in place, had stepped in to end a war of words between a few ladies when I  received an email. I was expecting some information from a friend so flipped over to open it.  Instead of the email I was expecting, I received the following and it was sooooo appropriate, I just had to share (after I quit laughing).  :D

Scots vs. English

In the old days the English and Scottish armies used to fight by gathering their armies on top of the hills and at day break they would run down the hillside into the deep gorge below to fight.

One morning at dawn there was a fog (as thick as pea soup) and the two generals decided to refrain from fighting that day.

Whilst the two armies were resting a voice, with a Scottish accent, came from within the dense fog.  "Any one Scotsman can beat any 10 Englishmen".  With this, the English general sent down 10 of his soldiers.  There was a hell of a fight and NO ONE returned.

An hour later, the same voice was heard.  "Any one Scotsman can beat any 50 Englishman".  With this the English general sent down 50 of his soldiers.  The same thing, a terrible fight ensued and again NO ONE returned.

An hour later the same voice.  "Any one Scotsman can beat any 100 Englishman".  Down went 100 of the best.  NO ONE returned.

An hour later.  "Any one Scotsman can beat any 1,000 Englishman".  By this time, the English general had enough and was about to send down his elite soldiers, when he saw a lone Englishman crawling up the hill.  He was battered to a pulp.  As he reached his general he said, "Don't send any more troops down, its a trap, THERE'S TWO OF THE BASTARDS."

Guess that answers that question! LOL

Have a great weekend!

  2. ROFL! Thanks Cat!
As one of those ladies in that war of words, when I read Jim's comment (indeed with HOH hat firmly in place) I actually responded "Yes, Sir!" in my head.
    LOL!

  5. Yep my husband says they don't wear anything under the kilts. I've seen these before, my Irish cousin sent them to us ( and a few more) for a chuckle. I love them, especially the little kid! Lol

    1. You need to post the 'few more' your cousin sent Minelle! The ones I posted are the only ones that were in the email but I have to confess, the kitty was mine. :D

  7. Totally true about the Scots vs the English! My father in law is English and we parry back and forth about which country is the better all the time! I'm not commenting on the lads in kilts and the fact that there is always a blushing lass or two daring eachother to take a wee peek!

  9. This a great, Cat. I get some pretty risqué pictures of men in kilts from a girl at the office. I will have to go through, find them and forward the same. The is nothing quite like the look of a man in his plaid, however.... Loved the little kid peeking under the kilted gentleman's attire - what an education in a few seconds.
    Ian loved the joke.

    1. ROFL Lillie - why is everyone sending me the naught pics?!? Oh ok, forgot - I've been elected the resident perv along with Willie. LOL So am I supposed to publish all these pics I'm getting with the men's dangly parts? :O

A man in his plaid is a beautiful sight to behold.

Happy Ian enjoyed the joke. Had something for both of you. ;)

      Hugs,
      Cat

    1. LOL - put the drink down did ya? You're learning. teehee Now Junie, don't go trying to get me into trouble - I didn't poke anyone! Published a lovely pic of Liam Neeson and the story shows the superiority of the Scotsman! Just got home from a long day running errands and fixit stuff at my mom's - if I've poked and am in trouble, oh well. I'm just too tired to run. ;)
