Sleep

You probably already know how vitally important sleep is to your overall health...it's definitely one of THE most important things you can do for your health, along with your nutrition and exercise.

And getting enough sleep, but also QUALITY of sleep is such an important factor in your risk of diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, Alzheimers, and more.

Which brings us to sleeping naked!

According to multiple studies, sleeping naked has been shown to have many benefits, including greater intimacy with your partner — leading to the release of oxytocin, a hormone that helps reduce blood pressure, and relieves stress...

It helps keep you cool, which then can help with insomnia...

It can help reduce heat rashes, skin breakouts, and yeast infections...

And finally, it can help you keep looking and feeling young — but ONLY if you are getting the right KIND & QUALITY of sleep.

  2. Dealing with a horrible cold right now, and I treasure a deep sleep more than usual. Not a fan of sleeping naked, though. Lately, I can get cold just looking out the window. Winter sucks.

  3. Cat,
Jack and I are dedicated nude sleepers. It is amazing how the body regulates temperature and then .............. other things so easily happen. Sweet dreams and all!

    1. I much prefer to sleep nude but can't when I have guests because I can't shut the bedroom door...the cat liter boxes are in my bathroom. If I'm ever able to get this place sold and move, it will definitely have a different location for the blasted litter boxes. ;)

  4. With the exception of socks and sometimes gloves, I always sleep in the nude when I'm home. I have been sleeping that way since I was about twelve - too hot in the summer w/o airconditioning back in NJ.
    On trips - I don't pajamas.

    1. Even when my kiddos were young, I slept nude...kept an oversized shirt by the bed so if I had to get up with them, I simply slipped it over my head...always sleep nude when traveling with clothes to slip on if necessary...much better than having to evacuate in pj's or sleepshirt. :)

  5. I am so giggling here. There are just some things I did not expect to learn about you all, lol!

Truthfully though, my sweet man, thinks we should sleep naked more often. The problem is I'm always frigid and I hate the idea of getting out of a warm bed and needing to dress to answer the bedroom door to a child who is sick or awoke from a bad dream. Maybe this is one of the benefits of being an empty nester?

    1. Stick around, Baker...you'll learn more about the rest of us. :D

As I told Sunny above, I always slept in the nude even when my kiddos were home...just kept an oversized shirt next to the bed...actually warmer because you're adding something after getting out of warm covers. :)

  6. We are not naked sleepers.... sometimes it happens. Of course having those hot flashes going from furnace hot to freezing cold may make naked better! Maybe I'd sleep better??
