Valuable Pictures
The lawyer says to the wealthy art collector tycoon, "I have some good news and I have some bad news".

The tycoon replies, "I’ve had an awful day, so let's hear the good news first”.

The lawyer says, “Your wife invested $5,000 in two pictures today and she figures now they are worth a minimum of $10 million”.

The tycoon replies enthusiastically, “Well done, very good news indeed!  You've just made my day; now what’s the bad news?”

The lawyer answers, “The pictures are of you and your secretary”.

Golf Ball Marker
Golfer walks into the pro shop at the local course and asks the golf pro if they sell ball markers.
 
The golf pro says they do, and they are $1.00.
 
The guy gives the golf pro a dollar.
 
The golf pro opens the register, puts the dollar in, and hands him a dime to use as the marker.
 

This economic model is also used by the governments.
