Toxic Relationships

Any type of relationship you may have (lover, spouse, family, friends, employer) that harms your self-esteem...makes you doubt your own worth is, by my definition, toxic.

If you have ever been unlucky enough to be involved in a toxic relationship, you know how harmful and painful they can be.

Even though it can and probably will break your heart, you have the right to protect and remove yourself from that relationship.

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind.
Walk on through the rain.
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.

Walk on, walk on, with a hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone.
You'll never, ever walk alone.

Walk on, walk on, with a hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone.
You'll never, ever walk alone.

Walk on, walk on, with a hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone.
You'll never, ever walk alone.

  6. It is hard to end toxic relationships or even to put survivable limits on them. It is possible. That is why my mom lives several states away in one direction and my mother in law lives even further away. It is all about boundaries and self preservation.

Love the dic pops. Starting those kids out a little tooooo early. Lol

    1. You are so right Rose...even putting limits on a toxic relationship is not easy but it can be done and everyone has the right to do so! Hope you are able to keep all the toxicity out of your life.

LOL...don't think the mom meant for the choco bananas to turn out as dick pops...maybe she was just thinking too much about adult playtime as she was making them. ;)

  8. Yup... so hard to hold your head up and walk away. My circle of friends and family has shrunk. It was hard to do.

I giggle every time I see those bananas!

  9. Hi Cat, thank you for writing about toxic relationships, what you posted is so true.
… And ‘never make eye-contact while eating a banana’ is also true. I had that once in a park and it was pretty embarrassing to be misunderstood that much. I was only hungry.
