Expanded Answers

One of the questions asked by Terpsichore during our March Q&A  was “Have you painted anything recently and what did you paint and what materials did you use?“  After I answered that I had painted a few, I received a few requests to post some of my paintings…so here are a few new and old.

  1. Cat, thank-you so much for sharing these very special paintings - it feels like I am getting a glimpse into your soul. They are beautiful. I especially like the colors and contrasts in night and day...and the bubbles and the painting for your brother made me smile. :-) Many Hugs!

  2. OMG Cat I love all of them but really love the Mondrian style paintings!!!! I love the raised designs and the colors. What is on the "kneeling" painting that makes it look gritty? Do you sell your paintings anywhere? Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!!!!!! In awe, Julie

    1. Hey Julie...Mondrian is one of my favorite artists also.

The 'kneeling' painting was made for a friend who loves glitter...I had some glitter paint but none in the greys or reds so after I finished the painting, I coated it with a glitter spray and then sealed it...doesn't photograph very well with the glitter reflecting the light. ;)

I do sell my paintings when someone asks but don't have a website or gallery space or anything like that.

Thank you so much for your lovely compliment...so happy you enjoyed the paintings! ;)

  5. I am proud to say that 'Bum in Blue' is mine and I cherish the painting! It sits on a shelf in my bedroom so I can look at it as I lay in bed. My Scotsman appreciates the 'Blue Bum' very much! Really he loves it too!
Cat you are very talented and I hope you will continue creating for all of those you love, and share with the masses!

    1. So very happy you and your Scotsman enjoy the painting Minelle. But wonder if I should have made the bum red instead of using your favorite colors. *snicker*

Thank you for such a lovely compliment...as I said before, that means so much coming from someone as talented as you!

  6. Those are awesome! I need to commission you to do one for me. My daughter is quite that painter but the one I would like you to make for me I couldn't ask her to do. How do you get the formation? Btw, I love the Bubbles one, bubbles are tough to do.

    1. Thank you Blondie! You are welcome to email me and let me know what it is you want. Not sure I understand what you're asking re: the formation. If you are referring to the raised designs, those are created using joint compound and are actually raised. Happy you love the bubbles...that was a lot of fun to paint. ;)
