Welcome to my little corner of the world where you never know what you will find! It could be anything from a joke to a funny picture to a personal rant to a favorite recipe to an awesome quote to any random "bright idea" that pops into my mind.

Life…
Just Remember…
BTW, even though some of you have asked questions which I have answered on my Q&A post, you are still free to ask any questions for March Q&A.
Cat, this is a comment and a question. Knowing you as I do :) I think I can say that you are a eclectic combination of submissive with independent, softly feminine but strong and determined. (If I had to pick people to share a fox hole with - you would be in their number.) My question is what do you attribute these character traits to, if you agree that I have pegged you correctly?
And yes, wow, you did peg me correctly! I am definitely eclectic in my personality and in the decoration of my home! LOL
Hmmm…where did I get these traits? Good question. I’ve always enjoyed being feminine even when I’m wearing my blue jeans and shooting my rifle. ;) I love taking care of my family.
Growing up, I was the oldest (by 13 months) but until my brother reached age 15 and had a heck of a growth spurt (now 6’1”) he was small for his age and I was always told it was my job to protect him from the neighborhood bullies. That’s when I became very strong (mental and verbally), determined and protective and learned to stand up to bullies…several mothers would try to complain to my parents about me taking their ‘little’ boys down…Dad would look at their sons and then look at me and just laugh.
Dad was the head of the family but Mom was extremely manipulative…she would hide things from Dad and pulled us kids into her deceit. But then she’d punish us harshly if we were caught in any lie. She was also very passive, aggressive …big sighs until Dad would finally ask what’s wrong and then she would give another big sigh and whine “Cat did this” or “D did that” or “Cat didn’t do this” or “I’m exhausted because I had to do everything because Cat wouldn’t do anything.” I love my mother to pieces but was determined to be nothing like her as I didn’t like her behavior and way of manipulating our family. Mom and Dad also had a lot of ‘cold wars’. You know the kind…”Cat, tell you father to pass the pepper”, Cat tell your mother to pass the asparagus”. Good gravy did I hate those…just made me sick to my stomach.
I really wanted Dad to be the head of the family without the manipulation so when my ex informed me that he expected to be 'head of our family' and his word would be 'law', I agreed. Little did I know that he meant that I would be spanked if I did something he considered crossing the line! LOL
This is getting very long! Hope it answers your question but if you need more information or have other questions, please feel free to ask.
Once upon a long long time ago, I used to shoot a Winchester .22 competitively O_o I've shot pistols, but the recoil is tough on the wrists & shoulders (I have carpal tunnel, lol... oh, not from that, shooting just affects it).
How fun June! I always wanted to shoot competitively but my ex would never let me. :( I have a Ruger 22 that I still shoot...nice part of living in the country. :) Ooh carpal tunnel sucks...sending healing energy your way.
