Welcome to my little corner of the world where you never know what you will find! It could be anything from a joke to a funny picture to a personal rant to a favorite recipe to an awesome quote to any random "bright idea" that pops into my mind.
I am literally the meanest mom in the world ( seriously..I don't let much slide).. just like my Mom was...and there is never a shortage of neighbourhood little people in my house....just like when it was growing up. Perhaps we are doing something wrong?
I was/am a kind squishy Mum, Ian was, and continues to be, mean. He had/has a standard of behaviour and they knew/know it. I was very wishy washy and kind, but then - his iron hand allowed me to be that way. The older kids laugh about it now, but they didn't mess with their father. The younger daughter, has it a little easier, but when Dad speaks, she listens and there is no back lip - she hands over the iPhone or laptop without a comment, if her Dad steps in - Thank Gawd! hugs lillie
Hey lucky Lillie - The trouble with the ex started when my oldest was in his early teens so I had to step up and be 'mean mom'. Kudos to Ian - not mean, simply fair but strict. ;)
Mean, but very smart.
ReplyDeleteI agree Sunny - very smart lady.
DeleteLOL :) I'm sure a few HoHs have thought of doing this.........
ReplyDeleteCallie
Hmmm - Hadn't thought of that Callie. Oops... ;)

oops...like it was WHEN I was growing up
DeleteThink society raising the "not my fault" generation are the wrong ones Willie. Just keep being a 'mean mom'. ;)

I sometimes can be, but they always think I am.
ReplyDeleteOf course they do Minelle...every time they don't get their way. ;)
DeleteDon't all kids think Mom is mean, whether she is or not?

Roz
Hey Roz - In my experience, any time kids don't get their way, you are mean. ;)

Mean or smart? Sometimes there's a fine line!
